Agricultural University of Athens – Full Certification of the Quality Assurance Unit

The Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) announces with great satisfaction the successful completion of the certification process of its Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) by the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE).

The evaluation was carried out by the External Evaluation and Accreditation Committee, composed of five members from HAHE’s Registry of Experts, which visited the University on 3 and 4 November 2025. As part of the on-site review process, the Committee held working meetings with the University’s Rectorate Authorities, faculty members, members of the Internal Evaluation Groups (OΜΕΑ), students and graduates from all study cycles, as well as external partners and social stakeholders of the University. In parallel, the Committee members were given a tour of the academic and research facilities of the University campus, including lecture halls, laboratories, and support structures, gaining first-hand insight into the infrastructure and the educational and research environment of the Institution.

Following the completion of the on-site review, the Committee submitted the Accreditation Report to HAHE, which was approved by the competent Council, leading to the issuance of the certification decision for AUA’s QAU for a five-year period (9 February 2026 – 8 February 2031).

This certification confirms the University’s steadfast commitment to academic excellence, institutional transparency, and accountability. AUA does not regard quality assurance as a static process, but as a dynamic mechanism of continuous improvement, and is committed to utilizing the Committee’s recommendations for the further enhancement of its educational and research work.

This achievement reflects the collective effort of our academic community and guarantees our students high-standard studies, recognized at both national and European levels.
