Professor Panagiotis N. Skandamis Receives Two Prestigious Awards at the Annual Conference of the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP)

The Agricultural University of Athens is pleased and proud to announce the double recognition received by Professor Panagiotis N. Skandamis, Professor of Food Hygiene and Quality Control at the Agricultural University of Athens, during the Annual Meeting of the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP), held on July 26–29, 2026 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

Professor Panagiotis N. Skandamis was honored with two prestigious awards in recognition of his long-standing and significant contribution to scientific research and academic excellence in his field.

Specifically, he received the following awards:

• Fellows Award, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) and its affiliated organizations; and
• Harry Haverland Citation, in recognition of his longstanding dedication to the ideals and objectives of the IAFP.

The Agricultural University of Athens warmly congratulates Professor Panagiotis N. Skandamis on this double international recognition.
