The Agricultural University of Athens organises a conference as part of the Erasmus Days under the theme “Live Our Values, Inspire Our Future”

On Wednesday, October 15th, the Department of International Relations and Mobility and the volunteers of ESN AUA Athens organised a conference titled “A Day for Erasmus+: Values that Unite Us, Experiences that Inspire Us” as part of the Erasmus Days 2025. The event took place in the Multipurpose Hall of the Agricultural Museum “Leonidas Louloudis” and brought together more than 40 interested students and members of the university community.
The ESN AUA Athens section and its volunteers welcomed the attendees with a brief introduction, explaining the essence of the Erasmus Days and this year’s theme, dedicated to the values of the European Union under the motto “Live Our Values, Inspire Our Future”.
Afterwards, the Department of International Relations and Mobility presented the Erasmus+ mobility opportunities and programmes offered by the University, as well as the participation procedures. An open Q&A session followed.
The event was honoured by the presence of the Vice-Rector for European University Affairs, Internationalisation and Student Welfare, Professor Eleni Miliou, who spoke about the importance of intercultural exchanges and cooperation with other European universities, as well as Professor of English Language, Mrs. Eleni Kakrida.
Next, members and volunteers of ESN AUA Athens took the floor, presenting from a more personal perspective the experiences of Agricultural University of Athens students who participated in Erasmus+ mobility. They also informed attendees about the activities and programmes of the ESN Association and the volunteering opportunities available to students. Another open discussion followed.
After the presentations a coffee break was held, followed by individual discussions between students and representatives from three different booths: the Department of International Relations and Mobility for questions related to the University’s Erasmus+ mobility programmes, ESN Greece and ESN AUA Athens volunteers for information about the volunteer network’s activities and Greek outgoing and international incoming Erasmus+ students who shared their personal experiences.
On Wednesday, October 15, the Department of International Relations and Mobility and ESN AUA Athens actively participated in the Erasmus Days 2025, organising an event dedicated to celebrating the Erasmus+ mobility programme and the European spirit. The aim of the conference was not only to inform and promote mobility programmes among students of the Agricultural University of Athens but also to connect the institution with the values of the European Union and to strengthen interaction between students, new volunteers and incoming students in a friendly and modern environment.
*What are the #ErasmusDays?
The Erasmus Days are an international six-day celebration of the Erasmus+ mobility programme. During these days, people from all over the world are invited to gather and organise or participate in events celebrating the projects and opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme. These events can take various forms, such as information sessions, best-practice exchange seminars, conferences promoting intercultural opportunities, multilingual conversation workshops, photo exhibitions showcasing mobility experiences, and more.
For 2025, the Erasmus Days took place between October 13 and 18, inviting everyone involved in the Erasmus+ programme to organise an event (digital and/or physical) focusing on the values of the European Union. This year’s slogan was “#ErasmusDays 2025: Live Our Values, Inspire Our Future.” The six EU values express a shared ideal based on respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, and human rights. These values are common to all EU countries and underpin a society characterised by inclusion, tolerance, justice, solidarity, and non-discrimination.
