Meeting of the Rector of the Agricultural University of Athens with members of the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association

In a warm and cooperative atmosphere, a meeting with the Rector of the Agricultural University, Professor Spyridon Kintzios, the Vice-Rector for Academic and Administrative Affairs, Lifelong Learning and Outreach, Professor Emmanouil Flemetakis and the new Board of Directors of the Alumni Association of the A.U.A. was held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Rectorate of the A.U.A.. The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Board of Directors, the President, Professor Dionysios Perdikis, the General Secretary, Mrs. Ioulia Panayiotou, and the member, Mrs. Kerasina Raftopoulou.

The meeting focused on the organization of the activities of the Alumni Association and its cooperation with the A.U.A. More specifically, issues of the Association's daily operation, communication with alumni and ways of their activation, the Association's cooperation with the University’s Administrative Services in order to strengthen the alumni's contribution to the modern needs of the Association, such as the evaluation of the University, the organization of a joint event, etc. The meeting resulted in the planning of an action programme, which will soon be implemented.

The Rector of the Alumni Association expressed his contentment concerning the results of the meeting, emphasized the importance of this cooperation for connecting alumni with the University, as well as to highlight their role in extroversion and in serving the modern needs of the Alumni Association.

The Board of Directors warmly thanks the Rector for his immediate response and his keen interest in the issues of the Alumni Association. The Board of Directors believes that this meeting will be the beginning of a very creative and lasting collaboration in order to achieve the maximum possible outcome for the future of our university, its students and its graduates.
