Participation of the Agricultural University of Athens in the Exhibition of French Universities, opening new horizons of Academic collaborations

The Agricultural University of Athens participated again this year in the Exhibition of Studies in France organized by the French Institute of Greece, with the participation of many French University Institutions and Universities The Exhibition was held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the French Institute of Athens, while on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the French Institute of Thessaloniki, in collaboration with the Study in Greece organization. The Exhibition was crowned with success, strengthening Greek-French cooperation and particularly highlighting the possibilities of joint postgraduate studies, scholarships and mobility.
Of particular interest were the scheduled meetings of representatives of Greek and French Universities, on Friday 7 February 2025 at the French Institute of Athens, in which the Vice-Rector of Internationalization, European University and Student Affairs of the Agricultural University of Athens, Mrs. Eleni Miliou, Professor, Mrs. Sofia Mavrikou, Assistant Professor participated and Mrs. Katerina Mavragani, Head of the Department of International and Public Relations, which had undertaken the organization and coordination of the participation of the AUA in the Exhibition, while at the same time offering the French representatives the printed foreign language promotional material, as well as commemorative gifts of the AUA. We had the pleasure of having a constructive conversation with the representatives of the French Universities: Grenoble INP – UGA, Haute Alsace and Clemont-Auvergne INP.
Afterwards, the President of the organization Study in Greece Prof. Mr. Christos Michalakelis, the Ambassador of the French Embassy Mrs. Laurence Auer, Mr. D. Bourantonis, Director of the Office of the Minister of Education, Religion and Sports and the new Attaché for Scientific and University Cooperation Mr. Matthieu ABGRALL spoke regarding Greek-French University and scientific cooperation, for the strengthening of cooperation for the benefit of the students and university staff of the two countries.
Then a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the French Institute and the Study in Greece organization and followed by cocktails in the bistro of the French Institute, where we had the opportunity to discuss the internationalization of Greek Universities, European Alliances and Greek-French scientific cooperation.
