The opening ceremony for the outdoor Gym of the Agricultural University of Athens

The opening ceremony for the outdoor Gym was held, on Wednesday, the 29th of September, 2021, on the site of the facilities of the Agricultural University of Athens.

Throughout that joyful event, warm speeches and fervent greetings were given, in turn, by the Rector of the Agricultural University of Athens, Professor Spyridon Kintzios, the Vice Rector for Finance, Planning and Development, Associate Professor, Iordanis Chatzipavlidis, the Vice Rector for Administrative, Academic and Student Affairs, Professor Nikolaos Dercas, the person in charge of the Gym, Mr. Dimitrios Danitsas, as well as the International basketball player and head coach for Greece men's national basketball team, Mr Panagiotis Giannakis.

Besides, special guests honored the ceremony with their presence, such as the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Haidari, for Municipal Kindergartens, Maintenance of School and Municipal Buildings and Civil Protection, too, Ms. Konstantina Chronopoulou and the Deputy Mayor of Sports, of the Municipality of Nikaia - Agios Ioannis Rentis, Mr Eleftherios Chatzipavlidis. In addition, Nikolaos Polias, the great Balkan Champion and Panhellenic marathon runner, inasmuch the marathon runner, Ms. Katerina Asimakopoulou, having achieved superb European and Greek distinctions and Mr. Vaggelis Ioannou, the physical education teacher and journalist, attended that pleasant event.

After the completion of this special occasion, a reception was held, for all those present, at the courtyard of the outdoor Gym of the Agricultural University of Athens.
