The GIS Research Unit of the Agricultural University of Athens participates in the European Erasmus+ AGRILEARN project

The GIS Research Unit of the Agricultural University of Athens (https://gis.aua.gr) participates in the European Erasmus+ AGRILEARN project (https://agrilearneu.com), which aims to promote the digital transformation of European agriculture industry by advancing  smart, digital, and sustainable practices.

As part of the project, an innovative and user-friendly online training platform has been developed, providing practical knowledge and educational materials on spatially enabled digital technologies in agriculture.
The platform is now open to the public (https://training.agrilearneu.com/), supporting farmers, professionals, and stakeholders in learning about and adopting smart agricultural practices across Europe.

To mark the completion of the project, the Final Dissemination Event will take place on Saturday, 25 October 2025, at the Cyprus University of Technology at Limassol (Tassos Papadopoulos Building), with the option of online participation via Microsoft Teams. Event Highlights:

• Presentation of AGRILEARN’s training materials, online platform, and dissemination strategy
• Keynote speeches from academics and experts in digital innovation, geospatial technologies, and smart farming practices
• Open discussion and stakeholder dialogue with producers, policymakers, and relevant organizations
