The incoming students also met their Buddies, AUA students and ESN volunteers who will personally guide and support them throughout their stay in Athens. Through this initiative, ESN volunteers contribute to creating an unforgettable experience for incoming students participating in academic studies or traineeships at the Agricultural University of Athens.
At the end of the event, students participated in an interactive campus tour in the form of a “treasure hunt”, organized by the ESN volunteers. To solve the riddles, they explored different parts of the University, becoming familiar with the locations of important buildings they will need during their academic journey.
The Orientation Day for Erasmus+ international students marked the beginning of the Welcome Weeks, a series of activities organized by ESN AUA Athens volunteers to promote cultural exchange and help incoming students connect with the local community. The day concluded with the first event, “Speed Friending: Karaoke Edition”, a fun evening filled with ice-breaker games and singing, giving students the chance to get to know one another and form new friendships. The Welcome Weeks wrapped up with a day trip to Nafplio, offering incoming students the opportunity to experience Greek culture firsthand, combining history, nature and fun.
