Agricultural University of Athens Welcomes 46 Erasmus+ Students.

On Monday, February 16, the Department of International Relations and Mobility, in collaboration with the volunteers of ESN AUA Athens, welcomed 46 Erasmus+ students from 12 different countries.
The day began with a welcome session and an information meeting organized by the Department of International Relations and Mobility, during which students were informed about the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ mobility programme at our University. The necessary registration procedures then followed.
Subsequently, the volunteers of ESN AUA Athens presented their association, highlighting the activities and programmes they organize with the aim of helping incoming students become familiar with Athens, as well as with the culture and traditions of our country.
Incoming students also had the opportunity to meet their Buddies, students of the University and volunteers of ESN AUA Athens, who undertake to provide support and guidance throughout the duration of their mobility. In this way, ESN volunteers contribute to creating a memorable experience for students participating in the mobility programme for studies or traineeships at the Agricultural University of Athens.
The Erasmus+ welcome day concluded with a guided tour of the University campus through an interactive activity in the form of a “treasure hunt”, organized by the volunteers. Divided into teams, the students solved riddles and explored the University premises, while becoming familiar with important locations and buildings that will be useful during their academic stay.
The Erasmus+ welcome day also marked the beginning of the Welcome Weeks, a series of activities organized by the volunteers of ESN AUA Athens aimed at promoting cultural exchange and helping incoming students get to know the local community and the traditions of our country. Among these activities were a day trip to the picturesque town of Arachova and a Greek night featuring traditional dishes and live folk music.
