Co-creating a Sustainable Agro-Food System: Climate, Nutrition & Food Security
The Agricultural University of Athens participates in the presentation of the Thriving Agroecology Living Laboratory (THALLA) in Athens, which is taking place within the framework of the pan-European living Lab Network (ECOREADY), in collaboration with the Union of Working Consumers of Greece (EEKE), the Hellenic Agency for Local Development and Government (EETAA) and the Farmers' Union (FU).
In Syntagma Square in Athens, on 20 and 21 October 2025, THALLA is setting up its own interactive corner. As part of the GSEE Info Fest, at the Syntagma Metro exhibition area (starting at 14:00), THALLA is introduced to the public, focusing on sustainable nutrition, climate and food security, with the aim of promoting the transition to resilient, inclusive and fair agro-food systems.
The Thriving Agroecology Living Laboratory (THALLA) invites citizens of all ages to participate in an open dialogue on the contemporary challenges of the climate crisis, food security, sustainable nutrition and biodiversity. The program includes interactive activities, research with citizenship engagement and presentations aimed at providing scientific information and raising awareness among citizens, the business community and policy makers about sustainable development and agro-ecology.
