Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Deanery are determined by the Laws, as follows:

Indeed, the duties and tasks of that University Body are, explicitly, stated below:

  1. Maintenance of the building facilities and infrastructure, in general, of the School of Plant Sciences,
  2. Leave on personal grounds, granted to Faculty Staff,
  3. Leave for scientific reasons, accorded to Faculty Staff. (The cases of modification and termination of such sort of leave, apart from granting, are also included).
  4. Unpaid leave, accorded to Faculty Members, including modification and termination, as well.
  5. Personal, or family leave, due to extraordinary circumstances, administered to Special Laboratory Teaching Staff, Special Technical Laboratory Teaching Staff and Special Teaching Staff, too.
  6. Suspension of duties assigned to Faculty Staff.
  7. Creation of new job opportunities for all the teaching personnel categories, namely, Faculty Staff, Special Laboratory Teaching Staff, Special Technical Laboratory Teaching Staff, in addition to Special Teaching Staff.
  8. Proposal for approving and updating of the register, regarding internal and external members appointed for election, development to higher academic ranks, permanent and renewal tenure procedures, of the Faculty Staff.
  9. The inclusion of members of Special Technical Laboratory Teaching Staff, onto the category teaching positions of Special Laboratory Teaching Staff.
  10. Composition of pertinent Committees, concerning consideration, or handling of certain issues, which fall within the competence of the School, set for actions promotion, structural and any functional needs of the School, as well.
  11. Student’s application form, for holding a course examination, by a Three Member Committee.
  12. Election procedures for the designation of the competent Dean of the School.
  13. Electoral process for the nomination of the Head and the Deputy Head of the Departments, of the School of Plant Sciences.
  14. Electoral procedures for the appointment of representatives of members of Special Laboratory Teaching Staff and Special Technical Laboratory Teaching Staff, their deputies in both categories included, as for the General Assembly and the Deanery Council of the School of Plant Sciences.
