Voluntary blood donation at the Agricultural University of Athens in collaboration with “The Evaggelismos” Hospital

We inform all members of the university community that on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 09:00 to 14:00, a voluntary blood donation drive will take place at the Conference Amphitheatre of the Agricultural University of Athens.

You are invited to actively support this initiative, organized by the Agricultural University of Athens in collaboration with “The Evaggelismos” Hospital, contributing to this important act of giving—a supreme act of solidarity that saves lives.

To ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the process, please review the following guidelines:

Before donating blood:

  • It is important to be well-rested, having had at least 6 hours of sleep.
  • Before your arrival, make sure you have had a light meal and plenty of fluids (water or juice).
  • Prefer wearing comfortable clothing.

After donating blood:

  • It is recommended to drink plenty of fluids.
  • Avoid smoking for at least 2 hours.
  • Avoid prolonged standing, intense physical exercise, and lifting heavy objects with the arm used for the blood draw.

Required Information:
Donors must bring their ID card or passport and know their Social Security Number (AMKA).
