Strong Presence of the HEI GreenPath Project at the EU-CONEXUS Conference 2026 at the Agricultural University of Athens
The HEI GreenPath – Shaping HEI Environment for a Sustainable Tomorrow project, in which the Agricultural University of Athens participates, had a strong presence at the EU-CONEXUS Conference 2026, held in Athens from 10 to 12 June 2026, bringing together more than 230 participants from across Europe.
As part of the conference, HEI GreenPath was featured through a dedicated exhibition booth at Technopolis City of Athens, attracting the interest of students, researchers, academics, and university staff members from Greece and abroad. Throughout the three-day event, numerous visitors had the opportunity to learn about the project's objectives and activities, exchange views with members of the project team, and engage in discussions on topics related to the green transition, sustainability, and the integration of green skills into higher education.
Particular interest was shown by students from all study cycles, who visited the booth to discover the project and explore the role they can play in promoting sustainable practices both within and beyond their universities. Informational materials and sustainable promotional items were also distributed, serving as a starting point for meaningful discussions on environmental challenges and the solutions that academia can offer.
HEI GreenPath is a European Erasmus+ project that aims to strengthen environmental awareness and integrate green skills and sustainability into university curricula. The project also supports the development of educational resources and tools for academic staff while fostering collaboration between universities and societal and industry stakeholders to address contemporary environmental challenges.
The consortium brings together five higher education and research institutions from Poland, Cyprus, Greece, Malta, and Slovenia, including the Agricultural University of Athens.
The participation of HEI GreenPath in the EU-CONEXUS Conference 2026 highlighted the importance of embedding sustainability in higher education and confirmed the growing interest of the academic community in developing green skills, shaping responsible citizens, and contributing to a more sustainable future.
