Ceremony for the official presentation of the anniversary exhibition of the Museum of Agriculture of the Agricultural University of Athens.
An official presentation of the Anniversary exhibition on the 100th Anniversary, since the foundation of the Agricultural University of Athens, was held, on Wednesday, the 22nd of September 2021, in the courtyard of the Museum of Agriculture, established in the Agricultural University of Athens.
The exhibition is entitled: ”1920-2020, Crises-Anti-Crises-Comparisons, featuring a glorious journey of 100 years, with alternations of growth and crisis”. Indeed, the example of Agriculture captures the significant contribution of the Agricultural University of Athens, to the service of society, in an ideal way.
It is noteworthy that, Her Excellency, the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, honored the ceremony with her presence. In addition, Spilios Livanos, the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Andreas Katsaniotis, the Deputy Minister for Diaspora Greeks, as well as David Burger, the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the United States of America, in Athens, attended that great event.
Throughout the ceremony, the Rector of the Agricultural University of Athens, Professor Spyridon Kintzios and Her Excellency, the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, gave a warm welcome speech, besides the fervent greetings, addressed by the Vice Rector for Research and Lifelong Learning, Professor Stavros Zografakis, being the Director of the Agricultural Museum, too.
The invited people were shown around the premises of the Museum of Agriculture, having the chance to encounter and take an interesting look at the extraordinary and rare exhibits, as well as the museum items and objects, on display, in the spacious gallery room of the Museum, having fond memories of the history of the Greek society itself and the rural area, too. After the completion of that special occasion, a reception was held for all those present, at the outdoor area of the Museum of Agriculture.
