The Agricultural University of Athens welcome students of Joint Master Programme in Marine Biotechnology_EU-CONEXUS

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) had the honor of welcoming 3rd-semester students participating in the Joint Master Programme in Marine Biotechnology_EU-CONEXUS. During their visit, the students received a warm welcome by Professor Eleni Miliou, Vice-Rector for European University, Internationalization, and Student Affairs at AUA, and Assistant Professor Emmanouil Malandrakis, who guided them through the University’s facilities. The meeting provided an important opportunity for direct interaction and for sharing information about the academic opportunities offered.
As a founding member of EU-CONEXUS, the AUA continues to invest in the internationalization of studies and in providing high-quality education within a global academic framework. The programme is offered within the framework of the European University for Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability (EU-CONEXUS) and is funded by the Erasmus Mundus programme of the European Union. Within the framework of Academic Research Integration (ARI), an integral component of the 3rd semester of the Joint Master’s Programme, the AUA will serve as the host institution for nine (9) students. These students, coming from different countries and diverse academic backgrounds, will collaborate on joint research projects with the ultimate aim of leveraging their collective experience and specialized knowledge.
The Joint Master Programme in Marine Biotechnology_EU-CONEXUS stands as a milestone achievement for the AUA and EU-CONEXUS. Designed to provide advanced academic and professional training, the Programme aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to address contemporary global challenges, while offering a comprehensive and interdisciplinary education on critical issues in the field. In addition, students have the opportunity to shape their curriculum according to their personal ambitions through professional and laboratory internships, as well as the preparation of their dissertation. At the same time, the Joint Master’s Programme supports their smooth integration into a multicultural academic and professional network, providing an experiential, practice-based learning experience.
