Participation of the Agricultural University of Athens into the 9th International Fair of Universities IUF.

On Friday, April 28 2023, the 9th International Fair of Universities IUF took place at the Royal Olympic Hotel in Athens, the greatest interactive educational event in South-Eastern Europe, under the framework of the actions and activities of the Educativa Group, with regard to the enhancement of visibility and outreach of Greek Universities in Greece and abroad. The Department of International and Public Relations has represented the Agricultural University of Athens, establishing its own exhibition stand.

The Vice Rector for the European University, Internationalization and Student Affairs, Ms. Helen Miliou, Professor, has remained for quite a long time, around the booth of the Agricultural University of Athens, having conversations with a great number of students and interested people, highlighting the wide range of scientific fields that the Agricultural University of Athens wields, inasmuch presenting with zeal the options a pupil or a student shall have, throughout their academic career, thus featuring the prominent role of the Agricultural University of Athens in “the educational policies and research mainstream” of the Greek Universities, both on a national and global level. In addition, the former Vice Rector Mr. Iordanis Chatzipavlidis, Professor, has honoured with his presence the properly set and well – functioning pavilion of the Agricultural University of Athens.   

The Agricultural University of Athens has participated dynamically into the particular International Fair, raising the large number of students’ and visitors’ awareness on the educational and research activities of the Institution, while offering at the same time some splendid symbolic gifts, like the edition of the Anniversary Volume, upon the completion of 100 years, since the establishment of the Agricultural University of Athens, outlining the course of action of agriculture and its development  

to date.

 Furthermore, the highly trained personnel of the Department of International and Public Relations, namely Ms. Ourania Hindiridou and Georgios Trilivas have distributed booklets, as well as a diverse range of printed promotional material both in Greek and English, wherein its members have been fully engaged in the pertinent editing. Besides, the contribution of the Department of Regional and Economic Development of the Agricultural University of Athens has been significant, having been represented by the Academic Scholar, Mr. Ioannis Vardopoulos.

The International and Public Relations Office, in collaboration with the Career Services Office of the Agricultural University of Athens, in particular with the colleagues, Ms. Virginia Tsourou and Ms. Filippa Maniou, respectively, in addition to the organizing team of the Educativa Group, which had undertaken the implementation of the specific initiative, has once more contributed to bringing to the fore the powerful academic profile of the University, underlining the high quality level of the academic community members, fostering closer contacts and partnerships on a national and global level, besides reinforcing intercultural communication on a personal level amongst the attendees.

Indeed, University representatives of 40 Universities and Colleges have taken part into the International Fair of Universities IUF, coming from more than 10 countries, thus enabling female and male pupils, along with female and male students, including graduates, as well as several students’ parents, to have the chance of finding more than 3000 Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral Study Programs respectively, being also informed about any kind of available scholarships and attending the scheduled speeches of academic, professional and consultative content, too.
