Great rise for the Agricultural University of Athens in the ranking of Greek Universities
Five places higher than last year and with particularly high performances - first and second place - in six sectors, the Agricultural University is in the ranking of the country's universities based on the quality criteria set by the Hellenic National Authority for Higher Education (HAHE).
The Agricultural University of Athens is in ninth place among 22 Higher Education Institutions, increasing its rating by almost 200 points.
First in the ranking is the Agricultural University of Athens in the average annual number of active projects per faculty member, in faculty members with significant recognition (each with a weighting factor), and in revenues from patents/participation in artificial plants/license agreements on the regular budget.
In the second place in the ranking is the AUA in scientific publications per doctorate, in funding from competitive R&D projects (Horizon and
General Secretariat of Research and Innovation) per faculty member, and in percentage of the expenses of AUA Special Research Funds Account to cover external collaborators with research tasks on the regular budget.
If the number of spin-offs had been calculated, it would have been even higher, in eighth place in the general ranking.
This improvement of AUA also signals an increase in its funding, in cases where the ranking of Greek universities carried out by HAHE is taken into account for budget allocation.
The community of the Agricultural University of Athens is glad for the distinction, and continues with dedication the work in science and research.
