Seminar title: "The search for the personal method of study and the neurobiology of memory"

The interactive microgroup laboratory aims to present the personal study method regarding memory neurobiology.

At a theoretical level we will discuss issues related to the neurobiology of memory which until the middle of the 20th century was dominated by the view that memory was a general property of the cortex of the cerebral hemisphere as a whole. The question that comes to mind is whether it is a separate mental ability or an auxiliary function of other mental processes. Neuroscientists have been studying the problem of mental processes of generalization, attention, object permanence, and consolidation since the 1950s, stating that it is a function of specific systems of the brain where memory processes are located on multiple systems.

On a practical level, we will work on exercises to realize the personal method of study, focusing on memory techniques related to generalization, expanding attention, the permanence of the subject and consolidating knowledge.
